I'm a firm believer of the fact that everything that has ever happened to you/everything that you have ever done eventually makes you the person you are in your present time and location. For that matter, there is no better you than you. (I'm also pretty sure that I just quoted a Sesame Street lyric.)
Without our past mistakes to push us forward, we wouldn't understand the current situations we're in as much as we do now. Let's embrace all our memories, both fond and resented, and not regret them to the best of our capabilities.
