An Epicurean Dream Deterred

You know what they say...everything is better underwater. A very reliable source once told me, "Darling, it's better, under the sea. Take it from me." And I cannot deny that he looks like the sort of guy who knows exactly what he's talking about, so it must be true.
My reliable source.

In primary school,  I had dreams of being a marine biologist. When I realized this dream was probably unlikely, I set sights on seemingly-more-attainable-yet-in-hindsight-was-actually-very-illogical aspirations of being a restaurant pioneer. Why wine and dine on land when you can enjoy it in the waters?

Years later, I discovered that an underwater restaurant has recently been built and it is quite the hot spot for a once in a lifetime experience. So much for being a pioneer! Childhood dreams crushed!

Not that I'm mad or anything.

But I give credit where credit is due, "Ithaa" of Maldives is very nice. Not as nice and fantastic and dazzling as the restaurant in child-me's mind, but it is still spectacular.

The underwater hotel is even better.  Maldives can do no wrong.

New dream. Dining on the waters is just as good as dining in the waters.
So romantic and fun, imagine how easy it would be to wash your hands after the meal. Maybe even the utensils and dishware. Just splash them around in the water. Just kidding, classy dining calls for classy table manners.

If I can't have my own sea-nic restaurant, I will find a body of water, pull up some chairs and tables, light a million candles, and call it a day.
